Inspire Me Like This! Who Gets YOUR Juices Flowing?

Lately it’s been all work and no play. I thought it might be nice to take a break. How do I intend to do that? Simple. Chat MEN! From the drop-dead gorgeous to the too-damned-sexy. Like you, I’m often blown over by the sheer beauty out there when it comes to actors. Have I pictured some of them when writing my books? Heck yeah! C’mon, who wouldn’t?

So this post is about mapping out some of my favorites over the years and what books they may or may not have influenced. Though my heroes were never exact replicas to these men their appearances were certainly swayed by the following hotties.

Feel free to comment after. Share what you agree with and who you feel I SO should have had on this list!

#1- Chris Hemsworth- The first time I recall seeing him was in the movie Thor. I was once more reminded why I wanted to write about Norsemen. He ended up affecting how I ‘saw’ Alexander Sinclair from Highland Persuasion (The MacLomain Series- Early Years)

About Chris… Born in Melbourne, Australia on August 11, 1983 he’s 6’3. According to Wiki He has stated, "My earliest memories were on the cattle stations up in the Outback, and then we moved back to Melbourne and then back out there and then back again. Certainly most of my childhood was in Melbourne but probably my most vivid memories were up there in Bulman with crocodiles and buffalo. Very different walks of life." Chris is best known for his roles in Thor and Snow White and The Huntsman.

#2- Henry Cavill- The minute I saw Henry’s face I saw a shadow of the men from my MacLomain Series. Yes, when I first laid eyes on him he played a Duke in The Tudors. Still, there was just something about the man that made my mouth water.

About Henry- Born in Jersey (French: Bailliage de Jersey) in the Channel Islands (Norman: Îles d'la Manche, French: Îles Anglo-Normandes or Îles de la Manche) on May 5, 1983. (Taurus like me! *silly grin*). Henry has starred in many films including Twilight playing the part of Edward Cullen and Theseus in Immortals. What I consider his best role however was in the Showtime series, The Tudors.

#3- Matt Bomer- The first time I came across Bomer was in the TV series White Collar. He might’ve played a master con-artist in that show but I instantly saw a vampire when I looked at his face. So when I started writing Darkest Memory (Forsaken Brethren Series) his was a face taken into consideration.

About Matt… Born in Spring, Texas on October 11, 1977 he headed for New York City in 2001. He’s appeared on Soaps such as All My Children and Guiding Light. Rated TV’s Sexiest Man of the Year in 2011, he’s best known for his role in White Collar.

#4- Joe Manganiello- The first time Joe crossed my path was in the awesome series, True Blood. In fact, he inspired me to consider writing about my first werewolf. It wasn’t soon after that The Georgian Embrace (Calum’s Curse Series) was written. *smiles*

About Joe… Born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on December 28, 1976, Joe signed on with an agent in Los Angeles and launched his career in 2002 in the movie Spider-Man. He then went on to act in many movies and shows, my favorites being ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and ‘True Blood.

#5- Eric Dane- The first time I laid eyes on Eric was in Grey’s Anatomy. He played Dr. Mark Sloan (AKA-McSteamy), the womanizing sex pot who was a cut above the rest when it came to plastic surgery. For some reason his smile, his looks, just about everything screamed Leathan Stewart from The Victorian Lure. Do they have totally different attitudes? Hell yes! But there’s just something about him that spoke to me.

About Eric- Born in San Francisco, California on November 9, 1972, Eric moved to Los Angeles in 1993 where he first appeared in a TV show called, Saved by the Bell. He went on to appear in several programs including one of my all-time favorite shows, Charmed.

So what do you think? WHO have I forgotten? Share, share!

Oh, gosh, Sky! You've been busy... Like them all, but Chris Hemsworth would be my favorite of the group, though Eric Dane is pretty nice. Well, they all are!

Nice inspiration! I hope you can sleep at night!

Love Chris Hemsworth but lately I've found the darker haired leading men sexier.

I'm currently crushing on Jeremy Renner.

What a load of inspiration you've wrapped up in a nice, neat package, Sky! Thanks!

I love Chris. First time I saw him was on Star Trek. He played Kirk's father and proved to be hero material by sacrificing himself so they could all live. Those eyes are what drew me in!!

And I love Joe, too. He's just...wow. Saw him in True Blood then realized he's been in several shows. Hope he gets even bigger parts in the future. Did you know he's really good friends with Matt Bomer? I think they used to be roomies in college or something like that. Too cool.

Thanks for the eye candy...I mean, inspiration!
