Maybe I was, she was definitely my favorite. She had diabetes and was sick off and on for a few years, then she got really sick and was hospitalized and had surgery, after her surgery she was disorientated for a few weeks and she didn't remember who I was. It was so disheartening. So one day I got stuck babysitting and couldn't get to the hospital in time for visiting hours and when my mom came home she told me that my grandmother asked for me by name and wanted to know when I was going to come and visit her. That night she passed away peacefully in her sleep. It was really hard to get over the fact that I didn't see her that night. However in time I've come to feel comforted by the fact that I was on her mind, It really touched me that she remembered and asked for me in the end, it shows me how much she loved me.
So that's my story, now excuse me as I go take a trip down memory lane my grandmother :-)
~AfshanBabyblue22https://www.blogger.com/profile/06183646318075168793noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-467296852518035096.post-1912346100649831762009-02-16T16:10:00.000-05:002009-02-16T16:10:00.000-05:00Moments that touch my heart are seeing my kids sle...Moments that touch my heart are seeing my kids sleeping. I know you're supposed to love your kids all the time but sometimes during the day...you forget. But when they are sleeping, it's an instant ahh isn't that sweet moment.

As for books...in anticipation of an upcoming release, I've been rereading my Anne Bishop Dark Jewels series books. These are Dark Fantasy and may contain some content not for everyone. But even though I've read them a bunch of times...they still make me cry.Beth Caudillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07822034586213938181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-467296852518035096.post-23559591897179845792009-02-16T14:16:00.000-05:002009-02-16T14:16:00.000-05:00Great post! I lost my father, Robert Huffman, in 1992 to a massive heart attack. If I was to win, please put his name instead of mine. Honoring him would be honoring me. The only love story I can think of right now. Is the love me and my father shared. Even though there were difficulties due to my mother (They were divorced.), I knew he always loved me til the end. Missing him is the hardest part. I do have my memories though.
Have a great day. I hope you get a lot of responses.housemouse88https://www.blogger.com/profile/06638977118552266722noreply@blogger.com
